Early Life and Education:

Caroline Grierson is a seasoned Registered Nurse with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Western Ontario. She began her career in the pioneering days of coronary care at Good Samaritan Hospital in Los Angeles, where she not only served as Head Nurse but also developed one of the first post-graduate coronary care nurse training programs. Her leadership extended to chairing the CPR Committee and editing the CCU Newsletter for the Los Angeles County Heart Association, training paramedics and dentists in life-saving CPR techniques.

Further Education and Specialization:

After focusing on family, Caroline continued her educational endeavors, lecturing at the University of Southern California’s Post Graduate Division and serving as Health Care Coordinator at the Bresler Center for Pain Management. Her interest in holistic health led her to specialize in biofeedback and neurofeedback, obtaining certifications from the Biofeedback Certification Institute of America (BCIA) in 1988, and later becoming a Senior Fellow in Biofeedback and a Fellow in Neurofeedback.

Professional Practice:

For many years, Caroline ran her private practice, “Train Your Brain,” where she applied her skills to treat conditions like chronic pain, stress, anxiety, ADHD, and more. She was also part of UCLA’s Comprehensive Pain Management Program. Caroline contributed to the field with a published study on neurofeedback’s effects on Reflex Sympathetic Dystrophy (RSD/CRPS) and released an educational CD-Rom for neurofeedback practitioners. Although she is no longer in practice, her professional affiliations included membership in the Association for Applied Psychophysiology and Biofeedback (AAPB), Biofeedback Society of California (BSC), and the International Society for Neurofeedback and Research (ISNR), alongside being a Clinical Associate with the American Association of Pain Management.
